General Information on the Law on the Protection of Personal Data

The Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK) was adopted in order to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, especially the right to privacy, in the processing of personal data and to regulate the obligations of real and legal persons processing personal data and the procedures and principles they will comply with.

In accordance with the KVKK, Terakki Foundation Schools (Terakki), as the Data Controller, informs the parents, employees and candidates as follows and enlightens them as follows within the scope specified in Article 10 of the KVKK. The representatives/agents to be appointed by Terakki, the Data Controller, will be announced in the Data Controllers Registry when the legal infrastructure is provided and will be announced on the official website in accordance with the legislation.

Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data, Collection Method and Legal Reasons

Personal data is any information that makes a person specific or identifiable. Such information may be, for example, your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number or the IP address of the computer you use to access our website. Any operation performed on personal data, such as obtaining, recording, storing, preserving, changing, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying or preventing the use of personal data, in whole or in part, by automatic means or non-automatic means provided that it is part of any data recording system, is the processing of personal data.

Your personal data will be processed;

a) In accordance with the law and rules of honesty,
b) Correctly and up-to-date when necessary,
c) For specific, clear and legitimate purposes,
ç) In connection with the purpose for which they are processed, limited and proportionate,
d) To be kept for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or necessary for the purpose for which they are processed,

by automatic means or non-automatic means provided that it is part of any data recording system.

As the data controller, your personal data is kept by our institution for the purposes specified below in accordance with the purpose of conducting education and training services.

Creating a database, listing, reporting, verifying, analyzing and evaluating, producing statistical information and sharing it with experts when necessary,
Contacting you directly through the communication channels you have shared with us for the purpose of informing about our institution and students,
Using it in the processes required for personnel recruitment to our institution,
Receiving registration requests for sports facilities, using it in issuing invoices and contacting you when needed,
Using it in issuing invoices in stores and cultural centers and contacting you when needed,
Using it in the sales and delivery transactions of the artist and/or buyers in the art gallery,
Using it in digital and printed media for news, developments and information about our schools and foundation in the field of communication.

It may be processed for purposes other than the purposes stated above, such as fulfilling our obligations stipulated by law and legislation.

Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data will be shared with authorities such as the Ministry of National Education, Social Security Institution, Ministries, judicial authorities, authorized public institutions and organizations such as Banks from which the institution receives services, and Private Health Insurance companies in order to fulfill the legal obligations of our Institution.

Our Institution may transfer the personal data and special personal data of the personal data owner to third parties (third party companies, institutions, group companies, third real persons) by taking the necessary security measures in line with the personal data processing purposes that are in accordance with the law. In this regard, our Institution acts in accordance with the regulations stipulated in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK. The information may be kept domestically or transferred abroad in order to achieve the purposes mentioned here by taking the necessary security measures.

As regulated in Article 138 of the Turkish Penal Code and Article 7 of the KVKK, personal data is deleted, destroyed or made anonymous upon the decision of our Institution or upon the request of the personal data owner, even though it has been processed in accordance with the relevant legal provisions, if the reasons requiring processing are eliminated.

Your Rights as a Personal Data Owner

Article 20 of the Constitution stipulates that everyone has the right to be informed about personal data related to him/her. Accordingly, Article 11 of the KVKK also lists “requesting information” among the rights of personal data owners. In this context, our Institution provides the necessary information in case the personal data owner requests information in accordance with Article 20 of the Constitution and Article 11 of the KVKK.

You can submit your requests regarding your rights within the scope of the KVKK to Terakki in person or to our mailing address in accordance with the legislation (for example, through a notary).
